Today is about planning for success. Studies have shown us that when we write something down, the chances of us succeeding go way up. And November and December is my favorite time of the year, not just because it’s Thanksgiving, not just because it’s Christmas. Those are important, too. But I also like to use this three-week period between Thanksgiving and Christmas to plan the next year.
I first start with reviewing 2021. What worked? What didn’t work? What were my accomplishments? Where were my opportunities to be better?
I literally write all those down, and it serves as the foundation for planning the next year. And yes, I literally write it down. I feel my plan take shape. What are my goals? What are my hopes? What are the resources that I need?
Where do I need help? I lay out my plan. I sit with it, and I revisit it multiple times over the next week or so to really make sure that I’m ready to go. And then I pounce, so that when the New Year hits, I’m already at a full speed.
I try to find someplace new where I can go. Today, I’m here at my favorite Starbucks. It could be the library. It could be a quiet spot in your home. Where would you find it?
Go! Make it happen. Plan for success, plan the work, work the plan, and really enjoy great success in 2022 living your best year and living your best life.
Have a great day!
Live your why,
Steve
